Jackylyn Skellington was lying on Spiral Hill, bored. Her long white-blond hair fanned out around her, forming a strange halo around her pale, ragdoll face. She wanted something, anything, to happen. She didn't want to be the Princess of Halloween anymore. She looked up at the sky. It looked like it was going to rain. She sighed and opend the silver locket on a black ribbon around her neck. One one side was a duck-like creature and dog-like creature. Donald & Goofy, she thought, I miss them. Then she looked at the other side, which had a picture of laughing girl with white-blonde hair ontop of a boy with messy brown hair and dark blue eyes, wearing a goofy smile. Me and Sora, when we were 14 and I had that spell on me that made me human. He's probably a great Keyblade Master by now. Then she remembered another person from her past. Riku,my love, she thought, her large, vaugely almond-shaped dark brown eyes misting, I miss you more than anyone.
Her melancoly thoughts were broken by a rush of footsteps. Jackylyn sat up, wondering who was coming. The gates of the cemetary opened and a tall, thin figure came running in. Could it be Jack? The figure stumbled and fell, hard. Definitely not Jack. It got up again and ran until it collapsed behind a tombstone. Jackylyn stood up and jumped off the hill. Quietly, she walked to the tombstone the thing was hiding behind and said, "Hello". "Oh!" the person gasped. It -he, it was a male voice- jumped up and stumbled backward on the tobstone.
Jackylyn giggled and bent down to see what he looked like. He was breathing quickly and was visibly shaken. She squatted down in front of him. He was a reletivly nice looking young man, with a heart-shaped face, dark eyes, a long pointed nose, and raven-black hair. But his face was pale, there were dark circles around his eyes and his hair that had obviously been slicked back neatly was messed up completely. He was also dressed in very elegant Victorian-era clothes that, though the jacket was torn in several places, made her black t-shirt and patched up jeans look very shabby. When he sat up, Jackylyn asked"What's your name?" The young man tried to answer, but was too shaken. Jackylyn sighed. She had seen this way too many times. She looked him straight in the eye and said "Breathe in" he inhaled deeply "Breathe out" he exhaled. "Feel better?" he nodded. "Good, now, what's your name?" "Victor Van Dort,"he said with a lovely british accent, "what's yours?" "Jackylyn Skellington." "That's an interesting last name," Victor said. "Yeah, I guess so. I'm 19. How old are you?" "Nineteen"he said. "So, how'd you get here,Victor?" "Well, my-my wife is-" "Wait a minute, you're married?" He nodded. "How old are you again?" "Nineteen" "What year are you from?" Victor looked confused. "1890," he said in a confused sort of way. "Ok. Sorry for interrupting. Go on," Jackylyn said cheerily.
"Well, my wife Victoria is,er,was very ill. I'm not sure if she's dead or not." He stopped and was very quiet. Jackylyn realized that he cared about Victoria a lot. "Go on," she said gently, "What happend next?" "Well, then I went into the forest and wandered very far into it. I found a very strange grove of trees with doors in them. The one with the jack-o-lantern caught my eye and I opened it..." "and got sucked in." Jackylyn finished. "Yes. Is that what happened to you?" Jackylyn gasped slightly. He thought she was a human instead of a tall thin ragdoll. She remembered that Dr. Finklestein had gone a little hyperactive on her sense of sight, so she saw waaaay better than normal people do at night, even when clouds filled the sky. "Are you all right?" Victor asked his hand gesturing toward her. She grabbed his hand. "You're cut." she said examining it. Sure enough, there was blood trickling down the long, willowy fingers. "Oh, it's-" he tried to say, but Jackylyn interupted. "Don't tell me its nothing. That's how people bleed to death." Victor swallowed nervously. Jackylyn took out a small square of cloth(she took them everywhere. Never know when your going to need to sew on a patch.)and pointed at it. "Water" she said and water shot out of her finger.(she's fairly good at magic) She took his hand again and cleaned the dirt off the cut. "Now we need a bandage" she said. "Really, you..." "Do you want to get gangrene and die?"she said sharply. He got quiet again as she started ripping one of her sleeves in a spiral until it got to the seam. Jackylyn looped it around Victor's hand several times. When she was finished she stood up. "Come on," she said holding out her hand to help him up, which he took, "We better get out of here before it starts..." suddenly there was a downpour "raining." Even with her sight obscured by the rain, she could tell Victor was about two inches taller than she was. (Which is pretty tall, she's 5'10"

Maybe this was what her father looked like before he died. Jackylyn took his wrist and ran out of the graveyard.
They reached Jackylyn's house in about ten minutes, which means when they went inside they were dripping all over the place. She turned on a lamp and when she turned around Victor gasped. She figured that he would, so she just smiled her crooked smile and shrugged. "I-I'm sorry." he said, "It's...it's just-" "That you weren't expecting to see a ragdoll." she finished, still smiling, "It's all right." "Jackylyn? Is that you, dear?" came a voice from upstairs. "That's my mother, Sally." Jackylyn explained. She bit her lip in thought. "We're going to have to say you're dead, which in your state, is pretty believable." He gave her an annoyed look, and she just smiled her most innocent smile. Then she continued, "Can you hold your breath for, like, 5 minutes? If you can, please do so when my mother comes down. If you can't, breathe as shallowly as possible." The next moment Sally came down the stairs. "Hello Jacky, you're father won't be home until late. He's still in that meeting with the mayor. And who's this with you?" "Mom, this is Victor. He just died today." "Nice to meet you, Victor." "The pleasure is all mine, madam," he said smoothly, bowing slightly. Jackylyn was staring at him, in awe of his politeness and ability to talk so normally without looking like he was breathing. She blinked and asked, "Since Victor's new in town, he doesn't have a place to stay. Could he temporarily room in the library?" "I don't see why not." So without further delay, Jackylyn grabbed Victor's wrist again and started leading him to the library. But unfortunatly, if you remember from TNBC, Jack's house is relatively pointy, so one of Jackylyn's threads on her arm got caught on a gargoyle's fang and came undone, leaving her arm grasping Victor while the rest of her was walking to the library. (Like Sally's, her limbs have a life of their own) "Oh!" Victor gasped. "Hmm?" Jackylyn responded, turning around. She saw Victor with her arm still grasping his wrist, about ten feet behind her. She laughed and went back. After getting her arm off Victor and sewing it back on, she led him to the library. "Could I see your jacket, please?" she asked politely. "Why?" he asked. "So I can mend it, of course." "All right, Jacky." he said with a mischeivous grin. "Call me that again, and your name's Vicky from now on." she said calmly while he took his tattered coat off. Victor gave her another annoyed look as he handed her the poor coat. She took it and smiled, but this one was not near as innocent as the first. "Okay, the couch is yours," she said facing away from the couch and looking at the remains of the once elegant jacket, "I'd offer better but..." She turned around and saw that he was already deep asleep. She smiled. He must be dead tired, she thought, I would be too, if I went through what he did. She went and got one of many of her patchwork quilts and spread it over him. Then she got her sewing kit and got to work on the jacket, which was pretty much tatters. She made it look brand new in 6 minutes. Jackylyn folded it up and placed it on a table next to the couch. Then she went and found her favorite book to read before going to sleep, Eerie Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe, went to the chair in the far corner of the room, got into her favorite position, which was having her head on the footrest, her back on the seat of the chair, and having her legs stick up in a vertical position on the back, and started reading. In a few minutes she was also fast asleep.
